Trustpilot is not what it thinks it is. Businesses beware! Do not be victim of bait and switch to trap you into advertising.

I left a review for Trustpilot DK but the response was from Trustpilot.com

Consumers beware of reputation management review manipulation and importing fake reviews from other review websites. Poor compliance. $111 million of investment and still their own staff leave fake reviews on other review collection platforms for themselves and against their competitors platforms but trying to talk to TrustPilot on how they are affecting companies like mine falls on deaf ears..

Hi

As we have explained you several times, we of course don’t import fake reviews, nor write reviews ourselves.

You can read about how our compliance team deal with reviews here:
Trustpilot / Trust

Are you sure Daniel? Have you checked why fake TrustPilot reviews are found by consumers in their own names and logins? How does that happen. Has TrustPilot been hacked? I don’t think so..

State here for the record why fake verified positive reviews and reviewer profiles were removed with no explanation.

Why are Fields Group companies websites helped to have real negative reviews removed with collusion form Trustpilot?

Example:- Consumers do not know they are actually dealing with Fields Associates Ltd a company which has been proven to operate lots of websites which have attracted over 1000 Trading Standards Complaints with their local Bridgend Trading Standards of which over 65 resulted service requests and out of court settlements / refunds, Another 20 became Trading Standard Enforcement visits some with Police escorts and one resulted in Fields paying £70,000 to settle out of court with a victim who they had threatened to close his charity. Fields Data Recovery, Data Recovery Specialists Hard Drive Data Recovery Rapid Data Recovery Rapid Data Salvataggio DATI Clinique De Donnes Clinica De Datos Recuperacion Express DatPhoenix. All these sites are the same company so why is it if a consumer leaves a real negative review on any of them they are removed on the pretence they are not for the same company?

TrustPilot allows Positive Managed Divorce Reviews to be left on Quickie Divorce and only negative reviews are left on the Managed Divorce page, but they are the same company and both advertise on Adwords. The same as other Fields websites.

My questions are based on over 10 years of dealing with a group of companies which Trustpilot has helped with reputation management for the last 5 years.

I now from the calls I have received from TrustPilot sales representatives the contradictory responses that you do not scrape other review sites yet will import reviews from other review sites even if they are fake. Where is the Trust?

For over 10 years I have been affected by scams and have borne to my personal cost and injury – nearly losing my life as a result of fake reviews, and being damaged financially as a result. My company bears the cost and added stress for my staff helping those affected by the consequences of allowing conmen to get away with fake reviews, and fake review websites that consumers make decisions upon and then find themselves in a very difficult and dangerous situation.

Helping the victims of conmen is not a tax deductible expense, it is not a charitable contribution it is a real cost on the bottom line and its is after paying for advertising, and having to bid more because Trust Score manipulation influences Google Score and Adwords PPC costs as per TrustPilots marketed benefits.

An Update

Trustpilot Business webpages advertise 7 well known companies as being amongst the 25,000 companies successfully using trustpilot.

But many who have contacted me tell of how they were introduced to trustpilot after fake negative reviews were left about for their companies.

The issue is Trust. Should I trust a company known to deceive companies into joining Trustpilot and who I can show are either actively or naively supporting reputation management of companies that post fake positive reviews for themselves and fake negative reviews for their competitors.

Worse getting TrustPilot to remove real negative reviews because those with negative reviews often do not know who they were scammed by and so they are easily removed by companies who have a dozen or more websites?

My Experience and communications with Trustpilot compliance are as a direct result of finding fake reviews and fake reviewer profiles on Trustpilot.

Trustpilots own compliance team cannot admit that Trustpilots own staff have been importing fake reviews and creating fake reviews and reviewer profiles or that their clients have found or been shown a loophole and create fake reviews in their clients names. How else do you explain consumers going into their own profiles and finding fake positive reviews they have not posted themselves and worse contrary to their real experience.

This is not just about issues around fake positive reviews, it is also about fake negative reviews.

The compliance team cannot admit to what has been going on or are blind to what is going on and what can be shown to have been going on for several years.

When you bring it down to the wire Trust has been lost and we are being piloted into believing websites listed on Trustpilot have a trustworthy Trustscore but look closer and see what is obscured:

  • Poor compliance, slow communication on most situations needing simple quick actions for reviews needing flagging.
  • Websites that do not identify the company who takes the money or provides the service.
  • Posts left by the directors of companies that until I alerted TrustPilot were allowed to stay up.

TrustPilot are asking for reviews from the clients of companies who they are helping with reviews collection and capturing their details yet if a review is negative and flagged by the company it is too easily removed and very hard for the consumer to get it re-instated – it is censorship!

Exposing 35 fake reviewer profiles and hundreds of fake reviews is only part of the problem and the Tip of the iceberg, I have been recording for nearly a year the evidence needed having in the past found that fake reviews and profiles were made in my name by a competitor and I was taken to court wrongly and had to defend my self against powerful corporations who can pay their own managers to lie in affidavits and who try to buy results in court because they have in house solicitors who believe they can get away with anything.

This is not only wrong but it is a sign of what is to come once the word Trust is sold and Pravda is belived to be the Truth – History tells us that obscuring the Truth is dangerous too us all.

Advertisers who sign up have been trapped by Trustpilot allowing its own staff to use fake negative reviews as a persuasion tool in the sale of a Trustpilot reputation management – reviews collection package.
